Praise, The Password Of The Believer (3)

BIBLE STUDY: PSALMS 100

“I will sing my song to the Lord as long as I live! Everyday I will sing my praises to God. May You (O God) be pleased with every sweet thought I have about You, for You are the Source of my joy and gladness. I will keep on praising You, my Lord, with all that is within me. My joyous, blissful shouts of ‘Hallelujah’ are all because of You.” Psalms 104: 33,34,35b (TPT)

As I continued to fill my Praise Journal, all I find myself doing is praising God even more and more. I am learning to use my password of praise to its full potential and what a month it has been so far. All I want to do is please Him more and more, I honestly cannot get enough of Him and must pray to the Holy Spirit to help me get a few hours of sleep before morning. My heart is filled with joy, I am constantly finding myself bursting into spontaneous praise during the day. I do not want you to think my day does not come with challenges but I have learnt to find my rest in Him knowing that His thoughts for me are good and even though I have my plans for the day, it is His plans and purpose for me I want to prevail over mine. So when things don’t go the way I planned, in my Praise Journal I thank Him for His plans overriding mine because I know His plans for me are perfect and good.

I want God to be pleased with me, that is my number one priority and even when things I do not understand happen and I feel disappointed or hurt, I will never stop praising God. Even Jesus Christ wept (He was emotional) but He still went ahead to perform one of the greatest miracles in the Bible. So please, do not let the enemy make you feel there is no place for emotions in your relationship with God. You are allowed to feel sad or disappointed but then, you encourage yourself in the Lord by reminding yourself of how amazing and astounding His love and kindness is and through that, allow praise to arise from within you to Him. The enemy will always look for a way to bring discouragement into our lives as long as we are alive here on earth. When things are happening to me, I remember, the power and authority of the devil on the earth was dealt a fatal blow by Jesus Christ’s death, resurrection and ascension and while he wasn’t completely annihilated, his power or authority was greatly weakened. His annihilation will come later according to the book of Revelation when Jesus Christ completes His work of redemption with the consummation of His kingdom (Revelation 20). But before this happens, his priority is to do all he can to torment God’s children here on earth. He comes with greed and lust of every kind to tempt us. When that does not work, he tries to bring hardship and sorrow through all means, even using government policies, to try to get us to question and compromise our faith. Remember we share the earth with him and so he uses his own children to bring chaos into our lives. This is one of the reasons why the Bible says we should take everything  (all our decisions, including and most especially our relationships) to God. When you get into a relationship with a child of the enemy, the consequences can be very bad. Satan needs me to allow him in because of his weakened power (he has no dominion over me anymore). This is why the easiest way for him to get in is through relationships, but as long as I use my Tools (The Holy Spirit, Word of God, prayer and praise) I will always overcome his temptations and see through every wolf in sheep’s clothing. God has not only given us the tools we need, He has given us the earth and put us in charge, while the heavens belong to Him (Psalms 115:16). We initially lost dominion through the sin of Adam but the death, resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ gave dominion back to us, so sin has no dominion over us any longer (Romans 6:14).

Brethren, the more I write, the more I praise and the more revelation I get. Let us continue to fill our Praise Journal and by the end of this month, filling it will become a habit in the name of Jesus `Christ Amen
